Is fluency in Japanese required to work at Money Forward?
After announcing an Englishnization policy for the Engineering team in 2021, Money Forward has been minimizing the Japanese language requirement for Engineering roles as much as possible. If the job description does not mention a Japanese language requirement, then there is no issue. However, we do offer exchange programs to support our international employees in enjoying their work and life in Japan.

Money Forward, in collaboration with its partner travel/Visa agency, provides comprehensive support for individuals who are relocating to Japan. At our Tokyo office, we have over 100 employees from more than 30 different countries who are not native to Japan. When considering our global development base, non-Japanese engineers make up 52% of our engineering team. However, it's important to note that the ratio may vary across different teams.
