Money Forward’s Culture
Continues to Evolve

In 2016, we created our MVVC (Mission, Vision, Values, Culture) to unite our members under a common language, and to express the values we wished to emphasize in the way we approach our work.
Imposing specific ideas of how we “should be” often leaves a gap between what people are asked to do and how they feel. We want each member of Money Forward to interpret our Values and Culture for themselves, adapting their own approach to embodying our MVVC on their own terms.
In this way, our Culture takes shape through gathering everyone’s ideas about “how we want to be”.
As all members feel personally involved in creating our Culture, the MVVC have received much love over the past seven years.
Even if our Culture needs to be updated over time, one thing we will never change is the idea of “let’s make it together”, where each of our members has a hand in co-creating who we are as a company.

Today, the world continues to change at a frantic pace, and there are many uncertainties that have no easy answers.
In this kind of environment, we at MoneyForward are taking on more complex challenges than ever before in order to create new value.
This means we too must strive to continually evolve.
In order to survive these uncertain times, each of us must think for ourselves, make decisions, and act autonomously.
To do so, it is important that everyone's values CONNECT with each other, not relying on rules to bind people.
Money Forward has gone through many phases since the MVVC were first created. As members and their diversity has increased, what we value has also undergone change. However, we want to be a company that is not afraid to face these changes, and we want to always remain aware of what is most important to us in the present, and continue our evolution.
Our foundation is, and always will be, our Culture; we will continue to nurture it and create it together as we grow.
