DEI

DEI Statement
We here at Money Forward Group continue to pursue our main missions of solving society’s financial issues and helping people move their lives forward into a better future.
Our members come from diverse backgrounds and possess diverse skills. As we all work together towards our common goals as a Group, this diversity can sometimes give rise to differences of opinion as well as competing ideas.
Without the right mindset, differences can lead to division; so, to unite us under a common language and shared sense of agency, we have crafted a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement that will evolve with us as we grow as an organization.
At Money Forward, one important aspect of our company culture is “Respect”.
This most deeply connects with what we believe about DEI, as we want to co-create an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, nationality, background, etc. is respected and can flourish to the best of their abilities.
As we head into the future, we will continue updating our approach to DEI using our own terms in our own way, so that we can also continue to adapt to the diversification of our organization.

MoneyForward implements various initiatives to support the various backgrounds and values of each of our members.

In September 2022, we released a comprehensive guidebook for expectant parents which included perspectives for supervisors and team members.
The contents are geared not only for practical matters like subsidies and policies, but also contains interviews with Money Forward members who used or are using parental leave.
In March 2023, the English version was also released.

In contrast to an "overall career-track course," which aims to maximize results and growth while giving members the chance to experience a variety of duties, the "inclusive course" places its goal on completing as much work as possible while receiving certain considerations. Based on the characteristics and aptitudes of each member, clear goals are set and an environment is created in which members can easily demonstrate their abilities, allowing them to chart a more stable, long-term career path.

We conduct unconscious bias workshops on a regular basis in order to maintain awareness that we all hold unconscious beliefs, and to learn how to incorporate differing opinions from what we might normally hold to be valid.
